As technological innovations continue to reshape practices in law, legal scholars and professionals face pressing challenges and unprecedented pression to redefine traditional concepts of real estate law such as property, ownership, and contracts. Through discussions and case studies, this session aims to elucidate the evolving landscape of real estate law in the digital age and the impact of cutting-edge technologies on the domain of real estate law.

Topics of exploration include tokenization of real estate assets and the concept of ownership, the utilization of blockchain and smart contracts in property transactions, the integration of artificial intelligence in due diligence processes and property rights on Metaverse. This exploration sheds light on the need for agile regulatory frameworks and proactive legal strategies to navigate the evolving intersection of technology and real estate law effectively.

By fostering dialogue among scholars and professionals from Brazil having a vast experience outside Brazilian borders and French and foreign scholars, this session seeks to facilitate a deeper understanding of the legal and regulatory considerations surrounding the adoption of new technologies in the real estate sector.
